Formal proposals requesting community feedback. For less-formal ideas, use General.
Provide as much detail and structure as you can but don’t worry about forming the perfect idea. Ideas evolve and the important step is getting a discussion started.
- What problem would you like to solve? The more specific you can be, the better.
- Use examples from your experiences with Guild. What isn’t working the way you’d like it to?
- If it makes sense, consider alternative approaches to solving the problem. The more serious options you consider, the more ideas we have to improve with.
- Be prepared for an idea or approach to receive criticism. That’s the whole point of this process. When an approach is eliminated as an option, it often brings the process closer to a better solution.
Above all, the Guild community is respectful and kind. You can expect to receive thoughtful, constructive feedback. If at any point a discussion becomes less-than-supportive, site staff will help to resolve the conflicts.
